In advance some rules:
If we get more than one decision for a round, we will take the last submitted decision
for the competition. Therefore you will have the chance to change your decision until the
dead line. If the decisions are submitted after the dead line, the participant will be
disqualified.
Within the test round, you can test the program and the market. The test round will not
be part of the final result and you need not to participate. After the test round, the
test round (period 1) will be repeated and then valuated for the final result. The period
0 is the base period and can not be changed. Period 0 is equal for all participants and
has only informational character. Therefore, the test period as well as the first real
period is period 1.
A detailed description of the software and all dependencies between your decisions can
be found in the online help of the program or on you CD in the "\Handbuch" subfolder. You
need not to understand everything at the first time, but you should have a look at it
before you start.
Additional information and questions from former simulations can be found at the FAQ.
As far as you have additional questions, which have no direct influence to your
decisions, you can submit a question form to us and we will publish these questions
within the FAQ visible for all
participants.
During the simulation, we will publish the top 8 participants and their results at our TOP 8.
You can appraise your own position by comparing the published results with yours. At the
beginning of the simulations, the positions will not state a lot, the positions can
change very quick and the final result will often fall within the last two periods. So no
need to worry about, if one of the periods runs bad. Some of the decisions have a
long-term character, so that the results will arise some periods later.
For the final, a maximum of 16 participants or 4 teams can qualify. These participants
will find the final winner. Which positions are these are, depends on the number of
participants within the first teams. Under extreme conditions, the positions 1-16 may
qualify.
But anyway, everybody is a winner, every participant will get a certificate of
participation, a really good complement of any application.
Another hint:
Of course, you are allowed to get some help by your senior instructor. But if you want
to survive at the final round, you should understand what you are doing. There is no
chance to ask somebody or to get additionally help from others outside the own team. Only
the best team will be the winner.
And at the final:
Precautionary we want to point out, that participation is out of any legal process! |
