Where and why using Business Simulations
The mainly usage of management business simulations can currently be found at universities and the large scale industry. The didactical profit and the efficiency of this instrument is known for a long time. For smaller companies or service companies, the instrument of business simulations is mostly unknown. One of the reasons for this may be, that the decision makers of today had made their experiences with business simulations during their studies some years ago. And these people, who made these experience, knows the profit of using it. AS a result of this, most of the participants of business management congresses are university professors and the representatives of most of the large scale industry. The participant list is like the "who is who" of the big players.

Bit if you reflect the years after 1999, it seems to start a turnover. While we had only one congress a year for business simulations for the last 15 years before, we had a lot of trade fairs and events after 1999 in Europe like in Nuerenberg, Zurich, Cologne, Dortmund or Karlsruhe, followed by Hannover, St. Gallen and last but nut least Berlin.

Business simulations were and are the object of a lot of scientific workouts. The results can be summarized in the following statements:

  • train to recognize economic dependencies, train interlinked (holistic) thought
